Monday, Nov. 3rd is our regular business meeting. Officers meeting will be at 6PM, Ladies Auxiliary meets at 7PM and the general council business meeting begins at 7:30 PM. Hope to see you all there…don’t forget to get to pay in advance for the Putt-Putt Golf outing scheduled for Fri. Nov. 14 at 7 PM at Andretti’s Thrill Park on Babcock St.
Sunday, Nov. 2 after all daytime masses the council will be hosting an “Open House” in the Servite Center. We will be showing some membership recruitment videos and have pamphlets and form 100’s for men interested in joining the Knights. If you know someone who might be interested please invite them to the open house. We are planning on holding a first degree exemplification on Mon. Nov. 17 prior to the Social Meeting.
Monday evening the council social meeting will host a presentation by Janet Steiner from Joe’s Club and the Alzheimers Association. Alzheimer’s is a disease that effects the lives of not only the victims but the immediately family as well and is probably harder on the caregivers than it is the victims. Come join us for this informative presentation at 7:30 PM, Monday, October 20, 2014 in the Quad Room of the parish Servite Center.
The new gate has finally been installed thanks to the sweat and toil of Grand Knight Ray Quinn, Dep. Grand Knight Joe Perry, Warden and Faithful Navigator Tim Jacques. Willie Jenkins and John Buchanan stopped by to lend a hand along with Larry Davis (photographer) and Sammy Manquel. Sunday, Oct. 12 is Our Lady of Grace Parish Picnic from 3PM til 6PM. Council members will be cooking and serving food for this event. We will need Knights to help set up the area Saturday morning as well as cook and serve on Sunday. We will be starting at 1 PM Sunday with set up and preparations for the event.
Saturday Oct. 11 is also Landscape day from 9AM til 11AM and our first Adopt-A-Road day ( picking up liter on both sides of Malabar Rd. from Eldron to Minton. All tools and supplies are provided. The more volunteers we get the faster it gets done.
Nationwide Life Chain in support of Pro-Life initiatives is today, Sun. Oct.5. Our Lady of Grace participants are gathering on Hwy 192 just west of Minton/Wickham Rd. by Winn-Dixie shopping center. Event lasts from 2 PM tp PM. Bring a chair if you want to sit, water to keep hydrated, and possibly umbrella’s for shade or rain.
