Brothers, we received @1100 pumpkins. We have surpassed $8000.00 in pumpkin sales. Thanks to all the knights who volunteered hours to sell pumpkins. With the Hayrides and photo ops all visitors to the patch enjoyed the time they spent selecting pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. We had over 30 Knights take turns manning the patch.
Trunk or Treat will take place around the ellipse on Sat. evening Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8:00PM.
Great turn out to unload the pumpkin truck….arrived 3 hours early but was able to folks to come early. Thanks to the parish youth group, the Boy Scouts, students from MCC, Heritage High, Bayside high, parents and knights for an outstanding effort unloading over 1100 pumpkins. Come out and support the parish and our council by spending time at the patch and selling pumpkins.
October is going to be a busy month for the council.
1st.- Our council business meeting will take place on Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:00 PM with Liturgy of the Word.
2nd – we will be setting up, cooking and serving for Our Lady of Grace Parish Picnic. Set up will take place at 9 AM on Sat. Oct. 10. We have 9 tents and many tables to put in place. Sunday we will be cooking and serving the parishioners hamburgers and hot dogs.
The landscape committee will be pulling weeds also Sat. morning from 9 AM – 11 AM
The Pumpkins are Coming…Our largest event of the year….manning and selling pumpkins to raise money for the Parish improvement effort—repair of the church A/C unit. The pumpkins arrive on Sat. Oct. 17 @ 12:30 PM. We are expecting @ 700 pumpkins and will need all the help we can get to unload the pumpkin truck. We also need Knights to man the Pumpkin Patch during the two weeks we have the pumpkins. If you have wagons or wheel barrows please bring them.
