Thanks to all the Knights who participated in the pressure washing and painting of Deacon Jack’s house.  It was a great effort by the council members.  I know I didn’t get a picture of everyone who volunteered time and talent but thank you one and all.  This what being a Knight is all about.  Mary, Queen of the Knights……Pray for Us!

Habitat for Humanity

Our next social meeting will be a presentation by Habitat for Humanity.  Habitat is one of the Knights of Columbus’ largest non-profit organizations we donate to.  Not only do we contribute money, but councils across America help build houses as a service project.  Please try to attend this presentation and see what Habitat has to offer and how you can help.  The presentation will take place in the main hall of the Servite Center at begin at 7 PM on Thursday, Feb.23.

Heritage Festival

2017 Heritage Festival will be held Jan.27,28,29 on the front lawn of the church.  Our council will be manning the American Booth, cooking and serving hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, etc.  All are invited to participate but will need a name tag with place of birth.  If you haven’t already submitted information for a name tag please let me know.

We are looking forward to another fun-filled event and time spent with brother Knights over the weekend.

Council Christmas Party

Monday, December 19 we will have our annual Christmas party.  This time we will have the event catered by PizzaVole and Italian eatery.  Our menu consists of Chicken Parmesan or Egg Plant Parmesan with salad and garlic knots.  Wives will be bringing homemade desserts to share.  Come by and enjoy the fraternity and good food

Merry Christmas

ice-1As part of our Christmas celebration 54 Knights and parishioners made the bus trip to the Gaylord Palms to take in a performance by Cirque Dreams and tour the ICE Charlie Brown Christmas display.  2 Million tons of ice carved by Chinese artisans in 9 degrees.  Great time and lots of fun…Some of us even went down the Ice slides.coffee-withcop1The council also hosted Coffee with a Cop.  Around 30 police officers attended including the Chief and Deputy Chief.  A great experience being able to sit and chat with our local law enforcement personnel.coffee-with-cop-4
